He has been a Board member of the German IIA (DIIR) from 2009 until end of 2016 and acted last as the Deputy Spokesman of the Institute. He also has been Board member of the European Confederation of Institutes of Internal Auditing (ECIIA) since 2014 and President from September 2015 until October 2017. From 2015 until 2019 he acted as President of the Banking Committee at ECIIA and established important contacts between the profession and the European regulators (EBA) and supervisors (ECB) during that period.
