Purpose
The CAE Majlis (“CAEM”) has been formed by the Board of Governors of the UAE Internal Auditors Association (UAE IAA) (“BoGs”) to discharge its duties as set forth in this Charter.

Membership
The CAEM is an initiative of the UAE IAA for the CAEs to provide a forum to the CAEs to interact, network, discuss, share and learn from each other’s experience. The membership to this forum shall be governed by the below rules. Any exception, will be discussed by the Board and the decision shall be binding and final.
- The members shall only be CAEs who are members of the UAE IAA and represent businesses who are not third-party service providers or consultants.
- The membership is by invitation only and non-transferable, i.e. proxy attendance for any purpose shall not be permitted.
- Attendees, other than members of the CAEM, are not permitted to participate in events organized by the CAEM.
- Should any member of the CAEM be reassigned to alternate assignments within their organizations (rendering them no longer a CAE), it is obligatory on part of the CAE to inform the UAE IAA and the membership shall be discontinued with effect of the affect member.
- The forum shall not be used as a means to promote products, services or solutions nor to promulgate sales.
Functioning of the CAEM
The CAEM shall be managed by a group of selected individuals. This team shall be selected and approved by the BoGs of the UAE IAA. Facilitation for the CAEM shall be performed by the UAE IAA. All activities to this effect are to be coordinated with the UAE IAA.
The CAEM is recommended to meet at least once each 2 months constituting of an agenda to be determined by the team and could take any form, such as presentations from members or invited guests, round-table discussions of matters of importance, benchmarking, etc.
Responsibilities
In addition to other responsibilities which may be assigned from time to time by the BoGs, the Committee is also responsible for:
- CAEM team
Responsible for the functioning of the CAEM on a daily basis. This includes, but does not limit to, type of meetings, topics, speaker, etc.
- UAE IAA
- Facilitation to enable meeting of the CAEM team.
- Logistical support to the CAEM team
- Review of this Charter
This Charter shall be reviewed minimum on an annual basis for its suitability and adequacy by the BoGs and amendments made as deemed necessary.
Sponsorship and Financial Support
- Sponsorship and financial support shall be approved by the UAE IAA management in consultation with the BoGs of the UAE IAA.
- Speakers selected as a result of the above shall refrain to make any sales pitch through their presentation in the CAEM.
- Soliciting clients during any CAEM shall be strictly prohibited.
